FTA/BEPI signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the German Partnership for Sustainable Textiles (Textilbündnis) affirming the association’s commitment to sustainable chemical and environmental management in textile supply chains.
Core to the association’s business and values, FTA participated in the 2017 UN Annual Forum on Business and Human Rights by co-organising two panel sessions on this year’s theme, the role of business in remediation.
FTA attended a UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights consultation on ways to incorporate a gender lens in the UN Guiding Principles, providing a practical business case for empowering women in supply chains.
FTA joined a private public partnership, formalising an agreement with eight different actors from the Moroccan and Spanish government, industry associations, and the private sector to enhance social responsibility in the country.
